Coming Soon – Australian Agribusiness Advisers’ Guide: Edition 3

In early February 2026, we will be releasing our third edition of the Australian Agribusiness Advisers’ Guide (“Agri-Guide”) covering new commentary on topical issues for advisers acting in the agribusiness sector, including:

  • the current “state of play” of the Bendel decision and its impact for the use of corporate beneficiaries in agribusiness groups;

  • the latest on the superannuation earnings tax and strategies for reviewing primary production land held in self-managed superannuation funds; and

  • an entirely new chapter on minimising the risk of family farm disputes, including the implications of the Owies decision on trust distributions.

This third edition also provides additional strategies for managing transactions, restructuring and succession planning.

Our short video outlines what is covered in the new edition and why purchasers of editions 1 and 2 have found previous editions so useful.

Australian Agribusiness Advisers’ Guide: Edition 2

Co-authored by Cowell Clarke’s Peter SlegersJoshua Pascale and Daniel Marateo, the Agri-Guide traverses, amongst other things, the challenging issues associated with optimal business structuring for the agribusiness sector, agribusiness acquisitions and sales, business succession, navigating the tax maze (including optimising the use of tax concessions) as well as addressing the ever-changing issues relating to inter-generational succession planning.

The Agri-Guide is the definitive textbook for accountants and other professional advisers acting for clients in the agribusiness sector.
