Leah Cowell is an associate in Cowell Clarke’s Environment, Planning & Sustainability, Energy & Resources, and Commercial Transactions and Corporate practice groups. Leah places significant value on the relationship she has with Cowell Clarke’s clients, and always strives to provide a solution based approach to her legal work in a manner that is most appropriate and helpful to their circumstances.
Leah has particular experience in the environment, planning and water law sectors including experience in waste management, site contamination, and environment and planning litigation. She assists clients in understanding their legal obligations through preparing strategic advice, legal registers, undertaking legal research and legislation review, conducting due diligence and contract reviews.
Leah has advised a range of public and private clients on corporate, planning and environmental law issues including projects relating to the mining and petroleum industries. She has also undertaken environmental and planning due diligence for corporate and property transactions and brings her experience in water and agricultural law to the firm’s Agribusiness group.
Leah was formally admitted to legal practice in August 2014, having joined the firm in 2013 as a law clerk.
