Megan Jongebloed is a partner in Cowell Clarke’s Commercial Transactions and Corporate practice groups. She has extensive experience in documenting and reviewing all types of commercial relationships and works with her clients to ensure that their commercial goals and outcomes are achieved.
Specialising in commercial and corporate law, Megan’s primary focus is in the areas of corporate acquisitions, business sales and purchasing, franchising and implementation of contract management systems and process. She drafts and reviews all types of contract documentation in the manufacturing, retail, pharmaceutical, service and healthcare industries. In the latter, she has accumulated significant expertise in pharmacy sales and acquisitions, ownership structures, compliance with pharmacy law and licensing requirements. She has also advised on a number of acquisitions and divestments in the aged care sector.
Megan advises on acquisitions and divestments of assets, businesses and companies in Australia and internationally and provides corporate governance and compliance advice to a broad range of businesses. This experience and knowledge has elevated her profile as a practical advisor to clients around the implications of the Personal Property Securities Act 2009 and amendments to the Privacy Act 1988.
With an interest in start-up and new businesses, she assists them to navigate through some of the complexities and legal issues which arise prior to and at commencement of business. Frequently, this involves structuring advice, protection of intellectual property and implementation of standard contract documents and systems.
