Regulated trees amendment

If a proposed development requires the removal of regulated trees, development authorisation for the removal cannot be granted unless all components of the proposed development are approved.

If passed, proponents will be unable to obtain prior authorisation for the removal of regulated trees associated with a proposed development.

The Bill provides an exception if the tree removal must be undertaken to protect a person or building.

If you would like more information about the proposed changes and how it might affect you, please contact Kathryn Walker or Leah Cowell.
