Clients at Forefront of New Cowell Clarke Office

More dedicated client meeting spaces and seminar facilities are a feature of the new Adelaide premises for commercial law firm Cowell Clarke.

All Partners, lawyers and support staff have moved into the new CBD office which officially re-opens its doors today.

At the same time Cowell Clarke has unveiled a new corporate logo capturing the firm’s modern and innovative approach to providing the highest quality legal services.

Cowell Clarke’s 100-strong team has moved up from level 5 and 6 at 63 Pirie St to a bespoke new collaborative work space on levels 9 and 10 within the same building. It is believed to be one of the first major law firms in South Australia to embrace a collaborative work space environment.

The new open and light-filled office space includes:

  • 8 dedicated client meeting rooms.

  • Hot desk facilities for clients

  • An 80-person capacity function space for seminars and training

  • Village green-style breakout central breakout area

  • Staff wellness area and desks with stand up options for all staff

  • A new central staircase connecting the levels

  • New IT system promoting greater online client and staff remote access

“For the first time in 35 years I won’t be walking into my own private office when I arrive to work – and that’s invigorating,” Chief Executive Officer, Rob Comazzetto said.

“We had outgrown our previous office space. We wanted a new environment that better reflected how we approach our work for clients with an emphasis on innovation, collaboration and technology.

“Traditionally law firms tend to operate in a closed office environment, but that is changing around Australia and it is time to embrace that change.

“We will continue to have dedicated private space available for when dealing with confidential or sensitive matters, however the new office layout facilitates greater interaction between our practice groups, and the ability to place different practices closer together for greater collaboration

“We see enormous upside to this new working environment. It encourages more mentoring and learning opportunities for both our young lawyers and senior staff – all of which bring significant benefits to our clients. There is also capacity for us to grow our workforce in the coming years.”
