Katie Pote is a senior associate in the firm’s Commercial Transactions and Corporate practice groups and also works with the Intellectual Property & Information Technology practice group. Katie values building genuine relationships with clients and colleagues. She enjoys the opportunity to work with and assist clients to achieve positive outcomes.
Katie practises in commercial and corporate law, primarily in the areas of intellectual property, information technology, privacy law and the Personal Property Securities Act. She also provides general commercial advice to clients in relation to corporate acquisitions, business sales and acquisitions and contract and tender reviews. Katie has developed a particular interest in assisting the establishment of new businesses including advising on the protection of intellectual property and developing and implementing standard contract documents and systems.
Katie joined Cowell Clarke as a lawyer after her admission as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of South Australia and to the High Court of Australia in February 2014.
