Susan Robertson is a special counsel in Cowell Clarke’s Commercial Transactions and Corporate practice groups and the team leader of the Energy & Resources and Environment, Planning & Sustainability practice groups. Susan brings a wealth of experience to her role, having worked for over 20 years in-house in the petroleum industry prior to joining Cowell Clarke. She knows the importance of good communication with clients, and of having a sound understanding of her client’s business.
From her time in the petroleum industry, Susan has particular experience in energy and resources, together with environment, planning and sustainability matters. Susan has had comprehensive experience with joint ventures in a variety of contexts, as well as experience with the regulatory issues related to major projects, including environmental issues and compliance.
Having worked in ASX Listed companies, law firms in London and Tokyo, and major law firms and corporations in Adelaide, as well as government, Susan brings a variety of perspectives and a broad commercial understanding to her advice.
Susan was admitted to practice in December 1987, and joined Cowell Clarke in 2017.
Susan is a member of a not-for-profit board, and Vice-President of the SA Branch of AMPLA (the national association for energy and resources lawyers).
