Joel Lisk is a lawyer in Cowell Clarke’s Corporate and Commercial Transaction practice groups. He has experience in assisting clients with transactions, consumer law, privacy and data security, and compliance in heavily regulated industries. Joel has also assisted in the establishment and restructuring of charitable and not-for-profit entities.
Joel has an interest in the application and design of laws that regulate new technologies and commercial activities in new and emerging environments. Joel is currently completing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in law focused on the design and compliance aspects of law applicable to emerging business activities and practices connected with operations in non-traditional domains, with a particular focus on space law, regulation and policy. Joel has also presented on this topic at conferences in Australia and internationally.
Joel currently teaches international law and advocacy at the Adelaide Law School and was admitted in August 2019 after joining Cowell Clarke in April 2018 as a Law Clerk.
