Susan joined Cowell Clarke in 2010 as the People and Culture Manager. She is responsible for all aspects of human resource management and people development for the firm.
Susan has extensive experience gained working in a variety of roles within the legal profession. Having commenced her career as a lawyer in Adelaide, she initially practised commercial law, working in private practice, corporate and government for several years. For the past nearly twenty years, Susan has focussed on legal practice management, with an emphasis on human resources, at both a strategic and operational level. Susan has held senior roles with top tier and national law firms leading and managing the human resources function.
Susan also has significant experience in the area of professional development. Using her background as a lawyer working in the area of people development, Susan has reviewed and developed programs for a number of firms with a particular focus on development for early career lawyers.
Susan is a member of the Law Society of South Australia, the Australian Legal Practice Management Association Limited, and the Australian Human Resources Institute.
