Brett is one of the founding partners of the firm and is the chairman of partners. He also heads the corporate, business and IP/IT sections of Cowell Clarke.
Brett helps the firm's Australian and overseas corporate and business clients do business. He advises them on their transactions, mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings, debt and equity funding and joint ventures. In connection with these matters, he deals with merchant banks, venture capitalists and other financiers, underwriters, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and the Australian Securities Exchange. Brett acts in director/shareholder disputes. Brett assists clients with their corporate and business management and strategic planning issues.
Brett also assists clients with their information technology and intellectual property transactions including trademark and copyright matters and licensing and technology transfers in Australia and throughout the world.
